School of Architecture and Urban Design
Architecture at KU offers freshmen three degrees: Master of Architecture, Bachelor of Arts in Architectural Studies and Bachelor of Science in Architectural Engineering. Architecture provides opportunities to study abroad, participate in design research and competitions, and numerous educational opportunities available to students who wish to study the built environment.
In-State Students
Students must submit a complete application with the $30 fee before the appropriate deadline and:
- Graduate in the top 25 percent of your high school class with a 3.0 or higher GPA, and
- Take 3 years of science, including a course in physics (recommended), and 3 year of math, including
trigonometry, pre-calculus, or calculus (preferred),
- Have an ACT math score of at least 26 (600 on math SAT) or for architectural engineering, a score of at
least 28 (640 on math SAT). Admission is competitive.
Meeting minimum requirements won't guarantee admission.

Out-of-State Students

- Graduate in the top 15 percent of your high school class with a 3.0 or higher GPA, and

- Have an ACT math score of at least 26 (600 on math SAT) or for architectural engineering, a score of at
