How do I become a HAWK? If you can answer "yes" to the following questions, you will be a great HAWK:
What will I do as a HAWK? As a HAWK, you will be an important contact for the KU Office of Admissions and Scholarships. We will schedule events and provide all of the materials you need. You will fill the crucial role of representing KU at college fairs and in meetings with individuals and groups of students. Most of these events are held in the months of September and October. That is the time when prospective students are preparing to apply for admission for the following year. We will contact you several weeks before any upcoming event in your area. We also may call you if there is a prospective student or students in your area who want to meet with a KU representative to learn more about the university.
Do I have time to be a HAWK? You may find that although you want to help your alma mater, you have very little time to spare. This is understandable. With the contact information below, there is a place for you to indicate how much time you are interested in devoting to the HAWK program. The amount of activity there is in your area depends on where you live. We will only ask you to attend one or two events (a few hours each) a year, unless you are particularly interested in doing more.
