Senior Days

This is a great way for seniors and their families to get the specific information and details they need to make solid decisions about the best college opportunities.

Who should attend

KU not only invites all high-school seniors but also highly encourages parents or guardians of these students to come too. We will provide valuable KU-specific information not only for the students, but also for the parents and guests. There is a small fee, and online registration is required; all seniors must register separately. All registrations are accepted on a space-available basis.

I attended a Junior Day. Should I come to a Senior Day?

Absolutely! The Senior Day agenda is completely different. Senior Days are focused more on academics and allow students to gather information from each school in the University, depending on which day is selected; and tour academic facilities on professional school days.

What will I do during my visit?

These visit days focus on academic programs and majors. If you haven't decided on a field of study, plan to visit on an All Majors Day. Each Senior Day program includes academic/support services information sessions provided by University staff and faculty members; a student panel or student-led campus tour, lunch at Mrs. E's Dining Hall, and a residence hall tour.

How do I register?

Of the dates that are available, you are guaranteed the date you request by registering on-line. Please scroll down to see available dates. If the date is marked as full, we are no longer accepting registrations for that date.

All registration forms for any available Senior Days must be received by the Office of Admissions and Scholarships two business days prior to the day of the event in order to be confirmed for the day.

Where do I check-in?

Check-in for Senior Days is at the Kansas Union on the main campus. A parking pass for the parking garage located north of the Kansas Union will be mailed in your confirmation packet along with driving directions to the garage.

When will they be?

Senior days take place in the fall semester. Please check back for registration information.

* All Majors Days: All majors days include a general review of all schools at KU.

*** The College of Liberal Arts and Sciences (CLAS) Senior Day is designed to give more information to students who are interested in the Social Sciences, Humanities, and Natural Sciences. Please go to www.clas.ku.edu/departments for more information about CLAS majors.

Junior Days

Why come to Junior Day?

It is never too early to begin visiting colleges and universities to get a sense of how they fit your goals and expectations. Among the many fine public and private higher-education opportunities in the region and nationally, KU is a recognized leader – and we are eager to share information about our academics, research, strength of faculty and other excellent programs.

What will I do during my visit?

This spring, students and their parents or guardians will spend most of the day touring the beautiful campus and visiting its buildings. Staff members will discuss academics, student life and other information unique to KU. We will also offer a session on preparing for your senior year of high school. Participants will be able to meet with representatives from each of the 11 KU schools. An information fair will feature representatives from support services and campus departments such as financial aid, Study Abroad and student activities.

How do I Register?

We are not currently accepting registrations for junior days. Please check back in January. Meanwhile, if you would like to visit campus soon, you may register for Jayhawk Days.
