You may explore KU virtually if a personal visit to our campus is not feasible at the moment.
Directions to the KU Visitor Center, home to the Office of Admissions and Scholarships
We encourage all high-school and transfer students and their parents or guardians to visit, and we offer a variety of weekday tours, even the occasional Saturday one, in fall, spring and summer sessions. Tour the campus with a knowledgeable guide; drop into a band rehearsal, perhaps, or grab a meal at Mrs. E's eating hall. With notice, we can set up a meeting with a faculty member in your area of interest. You can even register on-line.
Besides a campus tour and an introduction to what makes KU unique, these visits are designed to introduce the University’s academic programs to selected groups: high-school juniors or seniors, scholarship winners, transfer students, multicultural students and international students. Some days are specifically for students who have decided on a field of study; those who haven’t chosen a focus for study will be given information about the range of choices available. Pre-registration is required.
Various campus entities offer field trips for elementary and junior-high pupils, including the Natural History Museum, the Spencer Art Museum, Allen Fieldhouse and the Lied Center. Tours and informational sessions can be set up for groups.
