International Hawk Day
Who is invited? All international students interested in learning more about the undergraduate programs offered at the University of Kansas. International Hawk Day is for current high school students (who would apply as freshmen) and community college/university students (who would apply as transfer students), but pre-registration is required. During International Hawk Day, you will learn what our academic programs and majors have to offer. You will also have the opportunity to take a campus tour, eat at Mrs. E's Dining Hall, and see a residence hall room. Finally, you will have the opportunity to talk with a number of international students, who currently attend KU, about their experience at the University. International Hawk Day will take place on April 19. International Hawk Day will begin at the KU Visitor Center and will end at the Kansas Union (transportation will be provided from the Union to the Visitor Center at the end of the day). You do not need to bring anything with you to International Hawk Day. You will be provided with a folder containing materials including paper and a pencil for taking notes (if you choose to do so). Lunch will also be provided for you. Please dress comfortably and in attire appropriate for the weather (you will be walking from the Visitor Center to the Union during your campus tour). International Student & Scholar Services advises international students in their admissions and immigration process, the Applied English Center offers English language classes to help prepare students academically and culturally for university life, and the International Student Ambassador Program is a student-run organization designed to assist international students with everything from deciding where to live to figuring out where to buy groceries. |
